Eligibility to utilize Emergency Paid LeaveĮmployees who are unable to work from home and meet the following criteria will qualify for Emergency Paid Leave: Such time period may be further extended if deemed necessary by the president in consultation with the Board of Governors. The university, however, has chosen to extend this policy through June 30, 2021. The policy was originally established to comply with the requirements of the Families First Corona Response Act (“FFCRA”), which expires December 31, 2020. The COVID-19 Emergency Paid Leave Policy provides all employees (both full-time and part-time) with up to two weeks (10 days) of paid time off in addition to earned paid vacation and sick leave.
